I feel truly blessed to be able to create art for a living. Every project is its own adventure, but this one with Good Vibe Tribe and Sublime was really fun.
Most people don’t know how these kinds of projects come together. It always starts with an idea and a sketch—just the bones of something cool. This one landed in my lap back in December, over the Christmas holidays with a super tight deadline. Most of my clients hit me up when they need something fast—and they want a home run, something no one else can do. No pressure, right?!

Luckily, Joe from Good Vibe Tribe knew exactly what he wanted. After a series of sketches, we nailed down the concepts. Next, I painted three canvases that captured the essence of Sublime.

The artwork will be printed on packaging for Good Vibe Tribe’s Drink 2 Joints liquid THC packs—think drink enhancers for your tea, coffee, juice, anything.
Now the art is available for you to put on your walls!
Here's how the series came together:
“Sublime Morning”

We imagined dawn‑patrolling surfers rolling out in their VW bus, boards stacked, chasing that early morning swell and a mellow buzz. It’s all based on the energy of Sublime’s music—feel‑good, sunshine‑filled vibes. Brad (Sublime’s legendary frontman) loved surfing, cruised around in his VW bus, and always had his pup Lou Dog with him—so of course, Lou Dog had to be part of every scene.

We went for a Sublime fan’s perfect day—live music on the beach, floating in the waves, sunshine everywhere. I got playful with it: turned Eric (the bassist) into the Caterpillar from Alice in Wonderland, Bud’s jamming on bongos, and Brad (who has since passed away)—represented as a big Bad Fish—watches over his son Jakob, as he sings, keeping the music alive.

Classic wrap‑up to the perfect day—crashed out in your van, ocean outside the door, your girl by your side, and Lou Dog curled up by the campfire. It's the perfect end to a great day. This one really hit home for me. I love those late beach hangs after the sunset—there’s just something magical about that time.
Shop Sublime NightSeeing the artwork come to life across the marketing and merch with Good Vibe Tribe has been amazing. And it’s been great to be a part of the Sublime story and their timeless music. I’m stoked to see Jakob carry that torch forward.
