SURF AND FISH WITH ME IN BOCAS DEL TORO, PANAMA!

I am stoked to announce that Maria and I will be at Red Frog Bungalows in Bocas del Toro Panama in January and we invite you to join us!

Great surf, good fishing (eat what you catch) and an absolute adventure. Maria and I went last year and had an amazing time decompressing in the mellow island vibe.

Bocas del Toro is a remote chain of islands on the Caribbean side of Panama, with killer surf spots and tropical wildlife. It's famous for its little red poison dart frogs, monkeys, sloths, parrots, and camien, all on our walks through the lush jungle.

WE STAY at Red Frog Bungalows, a small surf camp on the beach in the jungle. The owners, Scotty and his wife, Mikey, take great care of us. They are gifted at making sure their guests get to the surf early, go fishing in the secret spots, explore and eat great meals.

We spend our days surfing, swimming, fishing and lounging. Last year, I was up early before dawn every morning; we started our day walking through the jungle to the boat. We would check all the surf breaks as the sun came up.

The waves are world class, amazing reef breaks for beginners and advanced surfers. The beach break Bluff is like surfing the outer banks of North Carolina on its best days, right and left fast punchy tubes running down miles of beach.

Everyday I would be surfed out by noon and ready to go back to the compound for lunch. In the afternoons we would chill or go fishing or snorkeling. On flat days we would go to some of the other islands; we stop at a floating bar for beers and food; and we can also take a boat to the beautiful National Park, which is totally pristine.

The fishing is world class, we often eat the fish that was caught that day. Scott is a fantastic cook, the dinners are full of commentary of the day sitting at one giant table. Soon everyone drifts off back to their bungalows for a good night sleep just to do it all over again in the morning.

Red Frog Bungalows is a different kind of experience, one we love. The beauty of nature is what I cherish most, the compound is simple but beautiful and it forces you to surrender to just the immediate moment.

Maria and I are gathering a tribe of fun people to share this experience with us. If you love nature, the ocean, surfing and fishing, you'll love it.

GETTING THERE: We fly into Panama City, then take a puddle jumper plane to Bocas del Toro, then a taxi to the dock, then a boat to the island.

Panama City is an amazing metropolis with lots of history, I suggest spending the night and stay in old town, walk the streets of cafes ,shops, and centuries old Spanish churches. Another cool thing to see is the Panama Canal if you have time, it is one of the wonders of the world that we built this so long ago and it still connects the world together to this day.

Your connecting flight is from a smaller airport that takes you to the islands, where you will be picked up by boat and taken to your adventure.

ACCOMODATIONS: Red Frog Bungalows is a rustic, small surf camp; there is one beach house (I booked that one), one Bungalow House (holds up to 5 people) and two cabins (holds 3 people). A minimum of 2 people per accommodation is required - so if you come alone we can team you up with someone else if you'd like.

Pricing ranges from $175-$275 per person/per night (depends on # of people in your room; the more people, the less $$$). Includes 2 meals a day. Surf boat trips, tips and alcohol are extra $$$.

DATES: Choose your week (or stay for both) either Jan 5-11 or Jan 11-18. I'll be there both weeks.

QUESTIONS: Text or call us at 949-678-8133.

BOOK IT: There are just 12 total spots available so if you know you want to go, book it right away. You can do that through the Red Frog Website HERE.  Let Scotty know you're with the Brophy's.

After you book, text 949-678-8133 and let us know so we can add you to the Whatt's Ap Red Frog Group Text.

Life is Good,

Drew
